What is the PDPA Journal Club?
The PDPA journal club was created as an open forum for dermatology physician assistants and nurse practitioners, as well as other health professionals and students interested in dermatology, to meet, critically evaluate, and apply dermatology literature and research to clinical practice.
What to expect during PDPA Journal Club...
- The PDPA Journal Club includes participants and facilitators. Facilitators will lead and organize the journal club meetings. The facilitators are responsible for both the selection and distribution of journal articles, from peer reviewed journals, two weeks prior to journal club meetings.
- Attendees are encouraged to participate and contribute to discussions, share professional experiences related to the clinical or research questions, summarize findings, and share how they may or may not apply to everyday clinical practice. The environment should be one of mutual respect for others and their opinions.
- All attendees are expected to read and critique articles prior to the journal club meetings.
- Attendance qualifies for CME Category II credit.
